OK, we've done a stock install of OpenBSD 2.7. Here's how we set up our partitions: Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on /dev/wd1a 97M 16M 76M 18% / /dev/wd1d 97M 10.0K 92M 0% /home /dev/wd1e 97M 3.8M 88M 4% /var /dev/wd1f 1.0G 521M 455M 53% /usr (/usr has the source tree on it) I tried to follow the recommendations in the documentation. Here is what OpenBSD knows about the hard drives: wd0: WDC AC2540F # size offset fstype [fsize bsize cpg] c: 1056384 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - 1047) i: 34209 63 ext2fs # (Cyl. 0*- 33) j: 764064 34272 ext2fs # (Cyl. 34 - 791) k: 258048 798336 unknown # (Cyl. 792 - 1047) wd1: WDC AC28400R # size offset fstype [fsize bsize cpg] a: 204624 7142688 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 7086 - 7288) b: 523908 6618780 swap # (Cyl. 6566*- 7085) c: 16514064 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - 16382) d: 204624 7347312 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 7289 - 7491) e: 204624 7551936 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 7492 - 7694) f: 2171610 7756560 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 7695 - 9849*) i: 3309327 63 ext2fs # (Cyl. 0*- 3283*) j: 3309390 3309390 MSDOS # (Cyl. 3283*- 6566*) k: 3309327 9928233 ext2fs # (Cyl. 9849*- 13132*) l: 3261132 13237623 ext2fs # (Cyl. 13132*- 16367*) wd0i Linux swap wd0j / on rescue wd0k (not really there, methinks) wd1i Linux ext2 (unused, old install of some kind) wd1j Win95 wd1k / on debian wd1l /bigdisk (currently) We originally set this box up as 216.39.144.111, but when we got the firewall going, changed it to 192.168.1.4. All the files we changed in /etc to accomplish this are logged via RCS. I see that I seem to have set up X. Let me have a look. Yup, `startx &` comes up with fvwm. I can see I added the international ssl package as part of the original install (OK 'cause the RSA patent has expired). Good. Do the sendmail thing next.
